Nepal Eye Hospital

Nepal eye hospital was established in 1973 as Nepal’s first center dedicated to eye care service.  Before that this hospital was merged at Bir Hospital as owned by the government as a general hospital.

Later with the active initiation of the icon ophthalmologist Dr. Ram Prasad Pokharel and other renowned personalities, the establishment of a separate eye hospital was possible.

It is government authorized eye hospital and financially supported by the Government of Nepal, Ministry of Health and Population.

It has been severing quality eye care service to the public over the four decades. It provides service to over 400 patients each day.

Although, it is a government hospital this institute uses modern eye care methods and equipment along with experienced, dedicated and qualified doctors who are amazing in the ophthalmic.
