Description
On Jan 18, 1993 AD B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS) was established. After 5 years the center was upgraded as an autonomous Health Sciences University.
This university is reasonably named after Bisheshwar Prasad Koirala, Nepal’s visionary leader. It is also regarded as one of a good example of Nepal-India co-operation. The Health Ministers of both countries signed the Indo-Nepal contract for the launch of BPKIHS.
