Bir Hospital

In the year 1978, B.S/ 1889 AD Bir Hospital was launched by Bir Sumsher Jang Bahadur Rana. It is also regarded as Nepal’s oldest and the busiest hospital of Nepal.

As of 2021, Bir hospital carries the proud history of 132 although it is the oldest hospital in Nepal but it has never stepped back to practice modern medicine commenced.

It is operated by a government agency called the National Academy of Medical Science in 2003. It provides all kinds of medical and surgical treatment to both inpatient and outpatient. 535 bedded Bir hospital also provides medical training to the post-graduated.
